If you have any ideas/suggestions/would like to offer a class, please feel free to share with the group! Paint or draw outside with friends! Bring an easel or your sketch book. Share the enjoyment! Be out in all seasons. Meet people who love art and love to paint/draw outdoors. And go home with a work of art to hang on your wall or enter in a show. Most of our Meetups take place in or near Washington D.C. Sometimes we stray further afield. En Plein Air means "in the open air" (French), and is particularly used to describe the act of painting outdoors (compliments wikipedia).

Do you like to draw? Do you like to drink? Do you like to do both at the same time, while hanging out with similar folks? Much like the combination of chicken and waffles, drinking and drawing go down smooth, in a delicious combination that needs to be tried to be believed, and yet upon checking out the other meetup options, I quickly realized I'd be either the only one drawing or the only one drinking, neither of which isn't awkward. Ergo, I'm setting this up to see if other folks might be inte …
The concept behind this Meetup is not a new one; artists have always collaborated with one another to stoke their creative fires by reacting artistically to each others work. In this case, the idea is for each artist to bring a sketchbook, begin a drawing, then have that sketchbook rotated through everyone else at the table, allowing the other artists to add to, and finish the drawing. You don't have to be a good artist to participate; the end result will be interesting no matter what, and even …
